(Nicholas^6, John^5, Nicasius^4 (Nicholas), Simon^3, Evert^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes) was b. 25 December 1793, NJ. He died 28 October 1865 and was bur. Reformed Church, Spottswood, NJ. He married first to Catherine Smith (b. abt 1791 and d. 22 April 1829 at age 38.7.25) on 25 December 1829 in Cheasequakes Baptist Church, Middlesex Co., NJ by Rev. John Fountain (GMNJ 45-44). He married second to Sarah C. Smith (b. 16 February 1803, d. 16 September 1865). Samuel and both wives are buried in Spotswood Dutch Reformed Churchyard.

Children: (by first marriage to Catherine Smith) :Jane^8 Ann Van Wickle, b. 21 October 1823, NJ and d. 28 March 1901. She married Benjamin B. Hageman; (by second marriage to Sarah C. The will 1811 (file 13514L) Trenton. Samuel Van Wickle Sr. of South Amboy, Middlesex Co., dated 20 May per 24 November 1865 - 2 sons Samuel and William all lands and personal property, they to provide support for wife Sarah their mother. My three daughters Jane Ann Hageman, wife of Benjamin Hageman, Catherine Van Wickle and Sarah Van Wickle, $500 each, the last two to remain and live at the homestead with my two sons. His "X" witnessed by Herbert Stout and Stephen Van Wickle Stout of E. Brunswick (who are they?)
